Faculti Lawyers is pleased to have been named a finalist in the AI Innovator – Legal Practice category of the 2026 Australian AI Awards.

The recognition follows Faculti's ongoing investment and drive to combine deep legal expertise with proprietary technology to deliver complex legal work more efficiently, consistently and at scale for clients.

Faculti's innovation model is built around Fai, its in-house developed AI platform, engineered specifically for legal production and deployed to work alongside legally trained professionals. Fai provides governed, practice-specific workflows that support lawyers, paralegals and legal operations teams across high-volume, legally complex matters.

Ben Lehman, Chief Innovation Officer at Faculti Lawyers, said the finalist recognition reflects a deliberate strategy to build technology around legal expertise and client need.

"Being a finalist for the Australian AI Awards is acknowledgement of the work our team has done to build technology that is genuinely useful in legal practice, not as a substitute for professional judgement, but as a way to help great lawyers deliver complex work with more speed, consistency and scale."

Fai has been deployed at scale across approximately 1,000 staff spanning Faculti and major Australian law firm Thomsons, as well as corporate clients.

Faculti is also extending Fai and its tools directly to clients via a Fai Link. On request, a Faculti lawyer creates a secure Fai session for a live assignment and shares it with the client through a Fai Link. With the session in place, clients can utilise Fai's powerful tools to augment their work, including document reviews and drafting.

Fai's capabilities were enhanced in July with the integration of Australian corporate data firm InfoTrack, enabling direct access to verified, government-sourced data from Australian registries, ASIC, identity verification frameworks and regulated conveyancing processes, all within the AI workflows lawyers already use.

Faculti looks forward to celebrating alongside Australia's leading AI innovators at the awards ceremony in Sydney on 30 October.

Faculti was also a finalist in the Innovator of the Year category at the 2026 Australian Law Awards.
