Faculti takes top honours at Australian AI Awards

Faculti has reinforced its position at the forefront of legal AI innovation by winning the AI Innovator – Legal Practice award at the 2026 Australian AI Awards.

The win follows Faculti's recent gold award at the AFR BOSS Most Innovative Companies awards, delivering back-to-back national recognition for its technology-led approach to legal services.

Faculti took out the AI Innovator award against a formidable field that included Ashurst Perkins Coie, Gilbert + Tobin, Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer, LegalVision, Maurice Blackburn, MinterEllison and others.

Driving Faculti's success is Fai, its proprietary AI platform, developed in-house to transform how legal work is delivered.

Built to work alongside Faculti's legally trained professionals, Fai combines advanced AI technology with legal expertise to deliver faster, smarter and more responsive services for clients.

Faculti Chief Innovation Officer Ben Lehman said the latest award win was a powerful endorsement of the firm's decision to build its own AI technology rather than rely on off-the-shelf products.

"Winning against some of the biggest names in the legal profession is a fantastic achievement and recognition of what our team has built," Ben said.

"This award shows what's possible when you put AI at the heart of how a law firm operates, rather than treating it as just another tool."

Back-to-back recognition for legal innovation

The Australian AI Awards win follows Faculti taking gold in the Professional Services category at the 2026 AFR BOSS Most Innovative Companies awards.

The two awards recognise Faculti's ambition to rethink how legal services are delivered by combining experienced legal professionals with purpose-built technology.

Faculti congratulates the other finalists and winners at the Australian AI Awards and acknowledges the outstanding work of its team in achieving this recognition.
