From 1 October 2026, Merc Property becomes Faculti Property Services.

It brings Faculti a specialist property presenting capability working in every state and territory, with more than 30,000 properties managed since establishment.

Their specialty is recovering real estate for banks, non-bank lenders, trustees in bankruptcy and insolvency practitioners, from pre-possession inspection through to post-settlement close-out. Much of that work is straightforward. Some of it is not: soil contamination and asbestos, drug-affected premises, deceased estates, animals left behind, titles tangled enough to stall a sale for years, and homes still occupied by people going through a very difficult period. None of that is treated as an exception to the process. It is a regular part of the work, and the job is to make complex situations simple: to work through challenges like these methodically, with discretion, and to bring the property back to a position where it can move.

Work like that has to move to commercial timelines and be done with real care at the same time. A conventional property agency is not built for that intersection. This business is, and it has been doing it from Christmas Island to Norfolk Island, backed by a database of more than 6,000 real estate agents, valuers and tradespeople to put the right team on each property.

Within Faculti, the property services team and the lawyers at Faculti Lawyers work as one team wherever that helps. Possession, title, abandoned goods and enforcement questions get answered alongside the property work rather than handed across a gap. Where a lender already has its own firm on the recovery side, that continues exactly as it is.

Same people. Same assignments. New name.
