Biography

Elise acts for authorised insurers, self-insured employers, statutory bodies and corporations on workers compensation and personal injury matters in Victoria, including WorkSafe Victoria and the Transport Accident Commission.

Her practice covers the defence of serious injury applications, common law claims, damages proceedings and statutory benefits disputes under the Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act. She also advises self-insured employers on complex claims management strategy, scheme obligations and regulatory developments across the Victorian jurisdiction.

Her work spans a broad range of personal injury claim types, from physical and psychiatric injuries through to complex impairment benefit disputes and sensitive dependency matters. She manages proceedings across all Victorian personal injury tribunals and courts, from initial instruction through to resolution.

Elise brings dual-sided experience across both plaintiff and defendant practice, giving her a complete view of how claims are run and contested on both sides. That perspective sharpens how she constructs defence strategy and anticipates the approach of opposing parties. Her background spans the full Victorian personal injury jurisdiction, covering WorkCover, TAC and self-insurance frameworks.
