Biography

Matthew's practice covers the full leasing lifecycle: new leases and agreements for lease, integrated base building and fitout arrangements, lease variations, assignments and make-good obligations. He also acts on property acquisitions, sale and leaseback transactions, due diligence and infrastructure-related leasing for government and institutional clients. He manages high-volume stream leasing programs as well as complex one-off transactions.

His practice has included end-to-end stream leasing delivery across Telstra's national commercial real estate portfolio, spanning thousands of transactions across multiple Australian jurisdictions. He has also acted on significant government infrastructure projects in South Australia, including the Women's and Children's Hospital and SA Health and Medical Research Institute, and on institutional sale and leaseback transactions valued at circa A30 million.

Matthew brings a combination of high-volume platform leasing capability and institutional transaction experience that positions him across the full range of commercial leasing assignments. His carriage of national portfolio programs and complex government infrastructure leasing reflects the trust major institutional and government clients place in his practice.
