Biography
With more than 40 years in the Australian property industry, there is no one who knows more about property: how to manage risks; how to prepare it, market it and bring it to a clean settlement, whatever the circumstances. Clients come to Robin when a property matter might be tricky.
Robin founded MERC Property (now Faculti Property Services) and Asset Matters. He has spent four decades advising public and private companies, financial institutions, administrators and receivers on realising property across Australia. For clients, that means judgement built on having seen almost every situation before, and a firm commitment to handling each assignment ethically and professionally.
His standing in the profession reflects that. In 2009, Robin was awarded Life Membership of the Real Estate Institute of South Australia (REISA), an honour given to only 15 individuals in the Institute's first 90 years. In 2014, he received the President's Award at the Real Estate Institute of Australia National Awards, the Institute's highest accolade. In the same year, REISA presented him with its Sir Robert Torrens Award for his outstanding contribution to the real estate profession.
Robin is a qualified mediator and has resolved disputes for the Real Estate Institute and on matters involving the Courts Administration Authority. Clients benefit from that experience when a possession or sale becomes contested. He also meets regularly with the Reserve Bank of Australia on residential real estate and national market conditions, so clients get advice grounded in a genuinely national view of the market.
