Biography
Vanessa began work in the migration industry in 2010 and became a registered migration agent in 2013. She is now an Immigration Manager of the Family-ART team.
Vanessa has a passion for navigating complex migration matters and has established a support network that extends into the community, assisting individuals and families through what can be a very unnerving process of visa approval and settlement into the community. She takes pride in supporting clients to migrate to Australia and finds it rewarding when we secure a successful outcome for clients, who are sometimes facing their last chance or opportunity to achieve their dream of remaining or arriving in Australia.
Her clients include individuals and family members in a range of visa types. She assists with reuniting family members in an array of family-based visas and providing justice to individuals and family members in a variety of cases represented before the Administrative Review Tribunal (ART) and requests for Ministerial Intervention.
ART cases and Ministerial Intervention requests are generally a client's last chance to achieve their visa goals. The inherent complexity of these cases is frequently compounded by an intricate migration history, often stemming from flawed advice provided by previous representatives, generally involving a refusal/s or visa cancellation. Vanessa is able to unravel this and provide clear and honest advice on available options.
She also provides specialised support and guidance on complex immigration matters relating to health and health waivers, domestic violence, modern slavery, and exploitation related matters. She provides trusted and honest guidance to support vulnerable clients.
Vanessa has set up immigration pro bono programs with the Cancer Council, ACAN and Domus 8.7. She is the main contact for referral from the Gay and Lesbian Immigration Taskforce (GLITF).
